A skull of an ancient sea monster has been found in England.

Philip Jacobs, an artist and fossil hunter, found a pliosaur snout in the southern England in the spring of 2022. The rest of the skull was embedded in a cliff after the snout fell from it. One expert said the six-foot-long fossil was the "discovery of a lifetime." Steve Etches, a paleontologist who has been collecting fossils for more than 40 years and was involved in the excavation, said by phone on Monday that there are some special features in it. The skull is complete and there are no missing bones.
