Jonathan Majors was dropped hours after he was found guilty of assault.

After Jonathan Majors was convicted of attacking and harassing his girlfriend, he was no longer associated with the Disney company. Majors was arrested in New York on 26 March after getting into a heated argument with his neighbor in a chauffeured SUV on their way to his apartment. He was found guilty on two of the four offenses that New York prosecutors charged him with. During the two-week trial, a Manhattan jury heard four days of testimony from a woman who claimed that her relationship with Major turned physical after she noticed romantic texts on his phone. Majors twisted her arm in a way that caused her "excruciating pain" and struck her in the head when she grabbed the device from his hands. Majors took the phone back, got out of the vehicle, and ran through the streets of lower Manhattan, as Jabbari chased after them. The couple met on the set of the film, which was released a month before Major was arrested. Majors was playing a time-travelling villain called He Who Remains, while Jabbari was working as a movement coach. The film was supposed to be the start of a new cinematic era for the studio and lead to more projects between the actor and the company. According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, the feature is still in the script phase and hasn't begun filming. It's not clear whether the character of Kang will remain in future films or if the studio will scrap future projects based around the character altogether. The Guardian asked for comment on their relationship with Majors but did not receive a response by the time of publication. Majors was once considered a rising star in Hollywood, rising to prominence in The Last Black Man in San Francisco and going on to blockbusters such as Da 5 Bloods and Creed III. Magazine Dreams, where Majors starred as a troubled amateur bodybuilder, was slated to open in theaters this month, but was put on hold after the film made a successful debut at the festival in January. The film was pulled from the release calendar by Searchlight Pictures, according to the Associated Press. Majors is facing up to a year in prison for a third degree assault charge.
