The Stone Roses guitarist and Oasis singer announced a collaborative album earlier this month. In June, the guitarist was invited to join the singer on stage for a performance of the Oasis song 'Champagne Supernova'. He later confirmed that they were going to work together and teased that the record would be the best since The Beatles. The first single from the duo, 'Just Another Rainbow', will be released on January 5, 2014, with more new music to follow as the year unfolds. The single is available to pre-order on 7” vinyl. The Smiths and the Roses were the first artists he ever fell in love with, but his child was too young for them. The Stone Roses debut album was the first record I ever bought.
