Jonathan Anderson brings American artist Richard Hawkins' work to life for LOEWE Fall/Winter 2024. He takes inspiration from celebrities, sex tourism and Greek and Roman statuary. The fascination with the male body is a major inspiration for this collection. The pop art aesthetic that has influenced mass culture over the years continues to be created by the exuberance use of colors in the FW 24 collection. The pieces were filled with texture and were very bold and spirited. As showgoers entered the space, digital screens in the form of windows show cased brand ambassadors such as Jamie Dornan in flirtatious Prompts that show the actor looking at the big screens. The models walked to a narrative often defined by social media feeds and celebrity culture. The collection used bold colors and used scaled leather coats that were still in the process of being spray painted with the right hue just moments before the show, to beaded trousers and bags, as well as colorful polo shirts hanging inside the jackets to create another level of clothing. Anderson spoke to the press after the show about the future of masculinity and how everything can be a one-piece. The collection includes coats, suits, biker boots, and skate sneakers. We all live in pieces that are attached to one another, from the shoes to the socks to the trousers to the jacket or coat, belt to waist.
