It can be hard to host a Hollywood awards show with an audience of image conscious celebrities on the receiving end and a large television audience watching in real time. Jo Koy acknowledged Monday that his performance as host of the Golden Globes had been a tough room.
Koy said on the ABC program that he had only had a week and a half to prepare, but that he would always remember it. It was a hard job and we had a lot of time to prepare.
The opening monologue of Koy seemed to fall flat at the awards show, drawing a defensive aside from the comedian. I wrote some of them and they are the ones you are laughing at.
