Krystyna Pyszkov of the Czech Republic won the Miss World contest in India. It is a dream come true to be crowned Miss World. I am very honored to represent my country and the values of beauty with a purpose on a global platform. After the reigning Miss World, Karoline Bielawska of Poland, passed the crown to her, Pyszkov waved to the large crowd and hugged some of the other contestants The event showcased the rich tapestry of India's culture, traditions, heritage, arts and crafts, and textiles to a massive global audience. Six Indian women have won the title, including Reita Faria who won in 1966. Megan Young from the Philippines won the Miss World beauty competition.
