The moon of Jupiter is thought to have a salty ocean, making it one of the most hospitable places in the solar system. Astronomers have figured out how much of the molecule is made at the moon's surface, which could be a source of oxygen for the waters below. The data from NASA's Juno mission suggests that the frozen world does not produce as much oxygen as some may have thought. Jamey Szalay, a physicist atPrinceton University who led the study, said it was on the lower end of what they would expect. Plants, plankton, andbacteria on Earth pump oxygen into the atmosphere.
May be Oxygen-starved, as it is thought to be Habitable.
