Musk wrote on X in March that he was not donating money to either Biden or Trump. In the wake of the assassination attempt on the presumptive GOP nominee at a campaign rally on Saturday, Musk has shifted his political stance, accelerated by his support for Trump. It is not clear whether Musk will clash with political leanings of electric vehicle buyers when he is the CEO of an electric vehicle manufacturer. The WSJ reports that serious tech money is flowing into the political party.
