Navalny's team says he is missing from prison.

Navalny was sentenced to 19 years in prison in August after he was found guilty of creating an extremist community, financing extremists and numerous other crimes. Navalny's supporters claim that his arrest and imprisonment are part of a plan to stifle his criticism of Putin. According to Kira Yarmysh, who spoke on X on Monday, lawyers have made several attempts to get access to two penal colonies where Navalny is believed to be. Yarmysh said that the 47-year-old was not at either the IK 6 or IK-7 colonies. Yarmysh said that Navalny had been missing for six days. The dissident was taken from Russia to Germany in 2020, after he was poisoned with Novichok, a Soviet-era nerve agent. Navalny had to be flown from Omsk to Berlin where he was in a coma. In December 2020, Putin said that if the Russian security service wanted to kill Navalny, they would have finished the job.
