President Joe Biden went to Milwaukee.

The campaign's new headquarters in the critical swing state of Wisconsin was visited by President Joe Biden on Wednesday to highlight a multi-million dollar investment toward the city's complete streets initiative. Biden went to the border city of Superior in January. The campaign is narrowing in on Wisconsin because of the "complete streets" project.

Biden highlighted $32 million in federal funds being allocated from the Infrastructure Act for a project to convert a 2.6 mile section of Sixth Street to a complete street. Milwaukee's complete streets efforts aim to make the streets safe and convenient for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Biden said the project was for the future of the children who use the community center. Biden said that the same thing happened in Milwaukee. The story of Bronzeville in Milwaukee is one that we all see. Biden spoke at the Pieper-Hillside Boys & Girls Club on Sixth Street W. Cherry about the importance of the nation's coast to coast. The purpose of it was not to connect communities, but to divide them.

Vice President Kamala Harris made a stop at a future Madison Metro Transit facility last week where she announced an executive order to promote apprenticeships. Republican Party of Wisconsin chairman Brian Schimming blasted Biden's decision to tout the federal investment in the Sixth Street corridor. The President should apologize for Bidenomics, instead of paying us a visit to brag about his abysmal record, he said. Schimming called the visits to the Democratic base in Wisconsin "rescue missions" during Harris' visit. A parade of red flags for Biden and Trump was found in the latest poll of Wisconsin voters.

The campaign is putting a lot of emphasis on Milwaukee.

Biden will make Milwaukee his state campaign headquarters for the first time in at least two decades. The location is indicative of the campaign's focus on Black and Latino voters in the Milwaukee area. Biden spoke to his supporters at the headquarters and highlighted the opening of more than 40 other campaign offices in the state. Biden said there was an awful lot at stake in the campaign. In December, Biden spoke at the Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce to announce new directives intended to support small businesses and highlight his administration's support for Black-owned businesses. Black voters in Milwaukee don't like the idea of Biden and Trump running again.

Protesters gathered in Milwaukee's Red Arrow Park, a couple of blocks from the Biden campaign headquarters, to demand that Biden push harder for a ceasefire in Gaza. They said they would not vote for him in the Wisconsin primary because of the United States' handling of the Israel-Hamas war and the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. The president of the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition said that they will lose the election if they don't listen to their voters.
