The second People's Choice Country Awards will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on September 26. Following in Little Big Town's footsteps as the event host, will be 100 million record-selling country star Shania Twain. Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said, "With a proven track record of creating music that stands the test of time, Shania is a beloved member of the country community." She is the perfect person to help us celebrate country's finest. I am honored to host an award show that celebrates awesome fans. In recent years, she's made an appearance at the Academy of Country Music Honors and performed at Geodis Park during her "Queen of Me" tour with Kelsea Ballerini and BRELAND, with other special guests including Wyn. The People's Choice Country Awards ended abruptly after only half of the awards had been presented. Jelly Roll won four times in fan-voted categories at the event and was celebrated as the "Country Icon" and "Country Champion". Morgan Wallen and hardY were among the nominees for the People's Choice Country Awards.
"Any man of mine," "Man!" are some of the things that can be expected from Twain as host. I Feel Like A Woman, "That Don't Impress Me Much" and "You're Still The One" were some of the songs offered by the vocalist. It's great that we're raising the standards for excellence in country music. Country music remaining exclusive sends talented artists to other genres, which denies country music the ability to continue adapting to pop music's trends Great artists don't have to wait for the industry to accept them for them to succeed, that's why I don't want country music to lose deserving artists. The People's Choice Country Awards will be held in 2023.
The first "People's Choice Country Awards" was broadcast on NBC and E!, and it had a higher Total Viewership than the previous "People's Choice Awards" broadcast. The show reached 25 million cross- platform users and was seen by 4.3 million viewers across all platforms. The People's Choice Award brand is being expanded into the country music industry through a partnership between independent strategic investment company Atairos, NBCUniversal and the Opry Entertainment Group. The inaugural event was described as a "rich connection between country music and the Opry through chart-topping musical performances, genre-bending collaborations, legendary tributes and surprise moments."
