The Colorado Springs Police Department said Nicholas Jordan, a student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, is suspected of two counts of first-degree murder. When the shooting happened, he was a student at the school, according to a university spokesman. The victims were identified by the department as Samuel Knopp, a student at the university, and Celie Montgomery Rain, who was not a student. The police were called to Crestone House after shots were fired. The city police took over the investigation after the university police requested assistance.
