NASA doesn't approve any specific glasses for viewing the eclipse. The "SO 12312-2 international standard" for looking directly at the sun is recommended by the agency. The American Astronomical Society has put together a list of approved vendors for eclipse glasses. The Columbus Metropolitan Library will be giving away free solar eclipse glasses. Patrons are encouraged to call ahead if they want to get a pair of glasses because there is a limit of four per family.
