The Year of the Dragon is coming up, and especially so in Japan. Unlike other countries that follow the Chinese zodiac tradition, Japan doesn't switch over to the next animal until January 1. The Year of the Dragon is just a few weeks away in Japan, so there is a high-fashion collaboration starring the original Pokémon Dragon-type evolution set. The Pokémon franchise, a fashion producer and a Japanese designer are all involved in the project. The first pieces that have been unveiled are the Peekaboo I SeeU models, featuring Gen-I Dragon-types Dragonite, Dragonair and Dragonite, and will be part of the collection. The designers say that shopper bags and men's camera bags will be part of the collaboration, as will apparel items including T-shirts, hoodies, and roomwear. The digital versions of the clothing designs will be available for use in the mobile game Pokemon GO on January 4. The FENDI x FrGMT x POKMON collection goes on sale at select Fendi stores on January 4. More details will be revealed later this month, but if you need some cute Year of the Dragon stuff, Disney Japan can provide you with Eto Pooh. You can follow us on social media.
