On Monday, 37 different veterans will have their contracts voided, including some who played in the past, setting them on a path to free agency. The void date on Marcus Davenport's contract had been changed to March 11. The fake years void at 4 p.m. Monday, so teams are incentivised to strike new deals with said players prior to that deadline. The two sides can still negotiate and agree to a new contract after the deadline, but any deal they sign will be counted as a new contract. The players with contracts that void Monday will be free agents as of March 11.
