The U.K. and Europe used bare, industrial building materials in their architecture after World War II. The hulking concrete facades can be seen in the likes of the National Theatre in London and Boston City Hall. She has collected some of the most impressive examples that she has seen over the years, focusing on incredible juxtapositions between architecture and foliage. It is fascinating to see how much a space can be improved by plants or greenery. When you are near a brutalism, it gives off a strong presence.
