Dakota Johnson says that there were drastic changes made after she signed on.

Arts and EntertainmentDakota Johnson says that there were drastic changes made after she signed on.

The movie's script underwent a lot of changes after Dakota Johnson signed on to play a character. Johnson told The Wrap that the early version of the Madame Web script was very different to the story that would end up in the movie. The Spider-Man spin-off stars Johnson as a young paramedic who develops clairvoyant abilities. The actress explained that the production was quite challenging as they had to shoot scenes multiple times with slight changes to create different visions of the future.

She said that it added so many different camera set-ups that it tripled the amount of work. It was very complex, and there were only minor differences between each version of the same scene, so it was like puzzle pieces. Some parts of the movie were not going to be good. She said that filming the Madame Web scenes made her question her performance because she hadn't worked with blue screens before. "I've never done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there's fake explosions going off, and someone's going, 'Explosion!', and you act like there's an explosion," Johnson said. I felt like I didn't know if this was going to work out. She has not taken her eyes off this movie because she works so hard.

Madame Web is playing in theaters, but Sony's latest Spider-Man film has faced some criticism. IGN said that the female-led movie "has the makings of an interesting superhero psychological thriller but fails the talent and the future of its Spider- Women." You can follow her on X and TWITTER.
