The Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2024 season kicked off this week. The announcement of a new lawsuit against SHEIN was followed by the announcement of the sale of an imitation shoulder bag. Dior announced its FW 24 collection will take place at the Brooklyn Museum, and Lana Del Rey fronts the SKIMS campaign. You can find the top fashion stories of the week on Hypebeast. Designers, models, editors, and more are in Paris this week for Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. The new year in this fashion world is always the beginning of major tentpole events across the globe. There are several big moments from this Paris Fashion Week, including Rick Owens sending swollen warriors down the runway, and the third runway show for Louis Vuitton by Pharrell Williams. This week at the PFW has seen new collections from brands like Wales Bonner, Dries Van Noten and more. Hypebeast has coverage of Paris Fashion Week. The lawsuit wants the retailer to stop the sale of the bag along with compensation for damages. Fast Retailing stated that the sale of the imitation products by Shein undermines the high level of customer confidence in the quality of the brand. Nigo and Pharrell have had a longstanding relationship, which includes co-founding Billionaire Boys Club and its sub-label ICECREAM. Nigo has hired Pharrell to be an official advisor for his HUMAN MADE label. Nigo told WWD he thought it was time to make it official that he was advising on the direction of the brand. The three of them are going to start working out plans and he said that he had started talking about it with Pharrell.

Nigo has a new role that makes it official. In recent years, New York City has become a destination city for European brands to exhibit their latest collection, with names like Alexander McQueen, Gucci and more taking to the Big Apple. Dior is holding its FW 24 collection at the Brooklyn Museum. The upcoming show looks at the "unwavering ties forged between Dior and the United States from the very beginning of the house." The show is going to start in NYC on April 15. Aside from its knack for crafting sought-after intimates, underwear, loungewear and shapewear, SKIMS has an affinity for eye-catching campaigns, having seen the likes of SZA, Cardi B, Kim Katrall, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Lana Del Rey has been added to the mix with the brand new campaign. Del Rey said she was excited to be a part of the campaign because she was a big fan of the brand.
