"Speed Painter" from West Michigan will represent the state in Miss America.

Schuhknecht is a speed painter and will show off her talent at the talent portion of the competition. Although she didn't win her first few contests, she eventually started winning talent awards after her speed painting videos went viral. She survived the mass shooting at Michigan State University but her father died suddenly two months later. My dad passed two months after that and I was so depressed I didn't think life would get any better. She won the Miss Michigan competition this summer and will go to the national competition in Florida. If crowned Miss America, Schuknecht will tour the country and promote stricter gun control measures.
