MovieThe 'Salem's Lot' remake isn't embarrassing, says Stephen King.

One thing that can be said about the long list of things that Warner Bros. Discovery has put on a shelf is that it rarely seems to be related to the actual quality of the thing. The studio takes the tax write-off, but they don't feel like it, because they tried to pull that scheme with Batgirl. Everyone seems to agree that Gary Dauberman's new adaptation of Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot' is actually good. The strike has been over for a long time and the film doesn't have a release date. King fans know that the main enjoys some self-promotion, and while he is not on the same level as John, he does tend to find positive things to say. James Wan is the producer of the film, which is an adaptation of a Stephen King book with some name recognition, starring Lewis Pullman from Top Gun: Maverick. Surely someone would want to make a movie like that, right? WB boss David Zaslav hates movies, but someone else!
