Muammar el-Qaddafi in a 1989 interview looked like a baby in a pink suit. Ms. Walters was one of the most respected and well-paid journalists in broadcast news. She made history as the first female co- host of the "Today" show, and then became the first female anchor of the ABC evening news. She co-created the daytime talk show "The View", as well as the newsmagazine show "20/20".
