FashionWe attended all of the fashion shows and events this season.

The New York Fashion Week is over, and there was a lot to see and do. This was not a season of reinvention, but a season of fashion. Designers and brands stuck with what makes clothing beautiful and didn't try to push boundaries with virality when everything has already been done. Expect the return of the Big Belt, fur in all lengths and colors, as well as corsets and gloves of leather, tulle and fuzzy varieties. We saw 22 runway shows, events, showrooms and installations.

L'Agence created a collection for organized crime that was suited for fur jackets, slinky floor-length slips, black tie and bejeweled pieces.

Always one to kick off the calendar, Christian Siriano drafted lamé, scuplture, and red for his journey through the desert of the future. Sophia Bush, Busy Philipps, and J. Smith-Cameron were in the front row. The star of the New York Fashion Week show is 'Succession' star Ashlee Simpson.

Phillip Lim is at a New Year party.

Kimora Lee Simmons' model daughter Aoki Lee Simmons is one of the designers.

If Zenon, of "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century," and Michael Imperioli's "Sopranos" character had a child together who wanted to create clothing honoring their parents, this would be it. The tinsel-topped separates, silver, purple and teal foil dresses and shimmering tracksuits were offered by Custo Barcelona.

The designer showcased his "return to going out and dressing up" at his New York store for the woman with uptown tastes. 3.1 Phillip Lim.

I saw a new It Bag with a large flap and gold hardware at the designer's "Intersections" installation. Badgley and Mischka.

The Saturday morning show featured a swan-like gown and a chocolate brown sequin pantsuit. I saw "Gossip Girl" star Kelly Rutherford for the first time at Tommy Hilfiger.

This year's group of small, independent Black designers was a top-tier crop of talent. Gvds, from Nigerian designer and former mechanical engineer Muktar Onifade, had the best and most cohesive creations I have seen all week. Lapointe.

The clothes were cute, but the line to get in was not.

National Geographic promoted nature docuseries "Queens" while wearing a hat. The short runway had animal holograms with designs from JBlanc, Bed on Water, anOnly Child, Head of State, Theophilio, Studio 189, and L'Enchanteur.

A violinist and Black Swan ballerinas left attendees speechless. The "Pookie" couple took TikTok for a ride.

Sophia Bush summed up the collection succinctly as she walked in.

Pamella Roland was inspired by a trip to Belgium and its "enchanting colors" of wine, chocolate brown, bronze and gold. We were treated to a mini "America's Next Top Model" reunion.

Markarian.

The pale buttercream dress with gems down the center and across the waist added to the dreamy Markarian moment after a short showroom visit.

If the party is an '80s business cocktail function where everyone is loaded and decadence reigns supreme, then the Retrofte show is a fte. It's what I imagine the characters in "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Barbie" would reach for.

Music and hair are bouncing. Many of the women in the front row were dressed by Sergio Hudson.

June Ambrose and Jessel Taank sat front row.

The brand headed to a nightclub with drinks and donuts inside. Rachel Brosnahan, Danai Gurira, Hoda and Jenna are at the show.

Luar.

The clothes were cool and everyone was surprised by them. A forthcoming line of basics is part of the lore of Luar, as well as the introduction of strong shoulders with watches, wrists and waists adorned with jeweled cuffs. Bey showed up at the Luar show with a sparkling appearance.

Brandon Maxwell.

The all-white set felt ethereal and otherworldly, then the first model emerged in a rippling cream gown that seemed to float down the runway, elevating the vibe to a more heavenly level Pieces looked effortless in the way only a master designer could.

Visitors to the dollhouse were taken to a place where a modern take on vintage looks await, with pinks and brown contrasted with delicate dresses and fur.
